The Templar’s Gear® CIBV2 Plate Carrier is derived from the CATAPHRACT GEN2 integrated ballistic vest concept, combining full-coverage protection with modular platform architecture. It is primarily configured as a soft armor carrier while remaining compatible with standard 25 × 30 cm (10" × 12") hard armor plates for enhanced protection in elevated-threat environments. The construction integrates durable Baucent monolithic laminate with a comfort-focused internal lining, supporting extended operational deployment without unnecessary bulk. Laser-cut MOLLE/PALS slots enable mission-specific equipment configuration. The CIBV2 platform is designed for users who demand protection, adaptability, and operational durability within a single system.

Construction and Materials

The CIBV2 utilizes Baucent monolithic laminate, providing high structural strength while maintaining a low-profile form factor. The carrier retains its geometry even under full combat load. The internal quilted lining enhances wearer comfort and contributes to impact absorption. The system is engineered to withstand demanding operational environments.

Ballistic Protection and Compatibility

The base configuration functions as a soft armor carrier with integrated plate pockets compatible with standard 25 × 30 cm (10" × 12") hard armor plates. This enables scalable protection according to current threat levels. The construction provides coverage of critical torso areas and supports expansion with auxiliary protective modules, including neck protection and collar modules (available separately). The system allows configuration to be tailored to mission profile and operational risk.

Modularity and Equipment Integration

Laser-cut MOLLE/PALS slots allow direct attachment of pouches and mission equipment without additional MOLLE webbing panels. The front MOLLE panel is interchangeable according to user preference. Expanded hook-and-loop fields are provided for patches and infrared identification markers. The platform is designed for compatibility with ballistic belts and auxiliary protective components such as groin, shoulder, and neck protection.

Ergonomics and Fit Adjustment

Adjustable shoulder straps and a wide cummerbund provide precise fitment, ensuring the carrier remains stable even under full load. The design supports multiple soft armor insert sizes and various cummerbund configurations for optimal setup flexibility. Ballistic shoulder pads are included in the standard configuration to enhance comfort during prolonged wear. A reinforced emergency drag handle enables rapid casualty extraction in crisis situations.

The CIBV2 Plate Carrier includes attachment points for neck protection and collar modules. The system supports different cummerbund variants depending on operational requirements.
