The Templar’s Gear® CIBV2 Medic EC Plate Carrier is derived from the CATAPHRACT GEN2 integrated ballistic vest concept, combining full-coverage design principles with a modular platform architecture. It is primarily configured as a soft armor carrier, while remaining compatible with standard hard armor plates for increased protection in elevated-threat environments. The construction blends durable Baucent monolithic laminate with a comfort-focused internal lining, enabling extended wear without unnecessary bulk. Laser-cut MOLLE/PALS slots support mission-specific configuration. The Medic EC variant is produced in Fluorescent Yellow (high-visibility), intended for rescue and medical units where rapid identification is critical.

Construction and Materials

The CIBV2 Medic EC utilizes Baucent monolithic laminate, delivering high structural strength while maintaining a low-profile form factor. The carrier retains its shape even under full load. The internal quilted lining improves wearer comfort and contributes to impact absorption. The overall build is engineered for demanding operational environments.

Ballistic Protection and Compatibility

The base configuration functions as a soft armor carrier with integrated plate pockets for standard hard armor plates. This enables scalable protection based on current threat level. The design covers critical torso areas and supports integration of additional protective modules, allowing the platform to be adapted to operational risk and mission requirements.

Modularity and Equipment Integration

Laser-cut MOLLE/PALS slots allow direct attachment of pouches and mission equipment without the need for additional MOLLE webbing panels. The carrier features Rapid Open Connector buckles on the cummerbund and shoulder straps, along with a front placard mounting interface secured by buckles. Expanded hook-and-loop fields are provided for patches and infrared identifiers. The platform is designed for compatibility with other load-bearing and protective systems, including ballistic belts and auxiliary modules such as groin, shoulder, and neck protection.

Ergonomics and Identification

Adjustable shoulder straps and cummerbund provide precise fitment, ensuring stability even under full load. Ballistic shoulder pads are included in the standard configuration to enhance comfort during prolonged wear. A reinforced emergency drag handle supports casualty extraction. This variant also features enlarged rear hook-and-loop identification panels for prominent markings, which is essential during rescue operations.
