Manta Strobe is an identification LED light for helmets. It attaches to the Velcro panel using a hook-and-loop fastener on the bottom of the light. It is a more elegant and technically advanced alternative to chemical lights. It shines or flashes with white and green light, but mainly emits infrared light for identification through night vision. Multiple infrared and bright LEDs generate overlapping and omnidirectional light. Manta Strobe is the lightest and has the lowest profile in its performance class.
It is turned on with a round button located on the battery container cap. The light turns on in a mode where the infrared light blinks faintly (low, emitter facing down). Switching to other modes is done by pressing buttons on the sides. There is one button on each side, and both buttons need to be pressed simultaneously to switch modes.
After the first switch, the infrared light blinks strongly (high, emitters facing up). This mode is announced by the device with three short vibrations – providing feedback for the user who cannot see the light mounted on the helmet. The second press turns off the IR emitters and lights up a steady green light, and the third press adds a white light flash to the green light.
The manufacturer declares IPX8 waterproofing – waterproof for 150 minutes, zero water penetration into the main casing or battery compartment.
