At the end of May, the Slovenian town of Kočevje once again became one of the hubs of the European shooting community. On 29–30 May 2026, it hosted another edition of Lynx Brutality, an international shooting competition that attracts competitors, instructors, industry professionals and shooting enthusiasts from across Europe every year.
This year, Rigad took part not only as a partner of the accompanying Gun Expo exhibition, but also through its own competitors. The team returned from Slovenia with excellent results, securing 2nd place in the women’s division and 5th place in the men’s division.

Some stages tested not only shooting skills but also the ability to perform in unconventional and dynamic scenarios. One of the most memorable challenges involved engaging targets from a moving ATV.
Although Lynx Brutality ranks among Europe’s best-known shooting competitions, participants agree that its appeal goes far beyond the results sheet and the creative stage designs.
The atmosphere feels more like a large gathering of the shooting community than a traditional match. Competitors from different countries, instructors, content creators, industry professionals and long-time shooting enthusiasts all come together in one place. For many attendees, the opportunity to meet friends, make new connections and exchange experiences is just as important as their final ranking.
It is this combination of competition, knowledge sharing and a welcoming community atmosphere that sets Lynx Brutality apart from most other shooting events.
The name of the competition may suggest an extreme physical challenge that pushes participants to their absolute limits. In reality, the experience is more nuanced. Lynx Brutality is a two-gun match that combines rifle and pistol shooting with physical tasks, obstacles and unconventional shooting scenarios.
Throughout the stages, competitors face challenges such as carrying heavy objects, completing balance exercises, shooting from awkward positions and engaging targets under physical stress.
At the same time, experienced competitors point out that there are other events that are even more physically demanding. The true strength of Lynx Brutality lies in its thoughtfully designed stages and the overall experience it delivers. The organizers place great emphasis on creating challenges that are not only demanding, but also engaging for competitors, spectators and online viewers alike.
And that is something they do exceptionally well.

Lynx Brutality combines precision shooting with physical exertion. Dust, gravel and unconventional shooting positions are a regular part of many stages.
One interesting aspect of the event was the way firearms were handled outside of the stages themselves. During movement between stages, firearms had to be carried concealed, which is not something Czech shooters typically encounter at domestic competitions.
For many participants, this was another element they had to adapt to during the match. Details like these serve as a reminder that shooting culture, regulations and common practices can vary significantly from one country to another.
Running alongside the competition was Gun Expo, an accompanying exhibition that gave visitors the opportunity to explore the latest developments in firearms, tactical equipment, knives, ballistic protection, survival gear and airsoft.
Exhibitors from Slovenia and across Europe showcased their products, and much of the equipment on display could not only be examined up close but also tested and, in many cases, purchased on-site.
The program also featured the Lynx Brutality Challenge, an obstacle course designed for visitors that included several demanding elements, among them a 100-meter zipline.
Rigad was part of the exhibition area, where visitors could explore a selection of products from our range as well as several new additions to our portfolio.
This year’s event provided Rigad not only with an opportunity to meet customers, partners and fellow enthusiasts from across Europe, but also with a chance to achieve strong competitive results.
Competing against an experienced international field, Team Rigad secured 2nd place in the women’s division and 5th place in the men’s division. These results are all the more rewarding considering the level of competition regularly seen at Lynx Brutality, where skilled shooters from across Europe gather each year.
Lynx Brutality has long since outgrown its roots as a regional shooting competition. Thanks to its combination of engaging stages, professional organization, international participation and a diverse supporting program, it has earned a place among Europe’s most recognized events of its kind.
Whether competitors come for the results, new experiences, the opportunity to reconnect with friends or simply to enjoy the atmosphere, one thing is certain—they do not leave Kočevje feeling as though they have attended just another shooting match.
