The Tasmanian Tiger Modular Chest Rig Backpack is designed as a rear-mounted extension for chest rigs and plate carriers, adding storage capacity without the need for a standalone backpack. It integrates directly with the load-bearing system, keeping equipment organized, balanced, and immediately accessible. The design also supports the insertion of a ballistic plate for additional rear protection. The chest rig is not included.
The pack attaches directly to compatible chest rigs or plate carriers, expanding carrying capacity without altering the core setup. It features a main compartment, three front pockets, and an internal sleeve for a ballistic insert, combining storage and protective capability.
The backpack includes adjustable shoulder straps that can be used with an adapter for attachment to chest rigs or carriers. A rear MOLLE system allows mounting to compatible platforms, backpacks, or other load-bearing equipment, ensuring flexibility across different configurations.
The design adds storage space at the back while maintaining balanced load distribution between the front and rear of the body. This keeps the center of gravity close and supports mobility without restricting movement.
An internal compartment allows insertion of a ballistic plate, enabling additional back protection. The configuration can be adapted based on operational requirements, from lightweight setups to enhanced protection.
The pack can be compressed or expanded depending on the load. When partially filled, it remains compact and stable without loose elements. When fully loaded, it provides sufficient capacity without requiring changes to the overall setup.
When integrated with a chest rig or carrier, the pack remains firmly secured to the body, minimizing movement during walking, running, or dynamic activity. The design supports stable and controlled gear handling in demanding environments.
