The Tasmanian Tiger Turtle Pack ZP IRR is designed as a rear-mounted pack for plate carriers, adding compact storage capacity without the need for a separate backpack. It attaches directly via a zip-on system, keeping the load stable and close to the body. Integrated shoulder straps also allow standalone use. The IRR version reduces visibility in the infrared spectrum, making it suitable for low-signature operations.
The pack is designed for direct attachment to compatible plate carriers using side zippers, creating a secure and stable setup without additional straps. It also features its own adjustable shoulder straps, allowing it to be used independently as a compact backpack when needed.
In addition to zip-on integration, the pack includes adapters for MOLLE attachment. This ensures compatibility with a wide range of carriers and load-bearing systems, allowing seamless integration into different gear setups.
The main compartment offers sufficient space for essential gear and is supported by internal organization features. A MOLLE panel with hook-and-loop allows customizable loadout configuration, while mesh pockets keep smaller items organized. A zippered lid pocket provides quick access to frequently used items.
The design accommodates larger or longer items when needed. The expandable main compartment allows storage of extended equipment such as tools or specialized gear, increasing versatility without compromising compact form.
An internal compression cord secures the load and minimizes movement when the pack is not fully filled. At the same time, it allows flexible adjustment for varying load volumes.
All materials, including CORDURA fabric, webbing, hook-and-loop panels, and hardware, meet German military standards for IRR (Infrared Reflectance Reduction). In the 650–1250 nm range, they achieve reduced reflectance, helping to limit visibility under night vision devices.
The front panel includes a hook-and-loop area for patches or identification, along with the option to secure a chem light or similar marker. The pack is compatible with hydration systems and supports extended operational use with essential equipment.
