Third degree of protection

The liner is for this plate carrier.The level of protection meets US standards NIJ 01.01.04. at level IIIA.The liner is thus able to contain a full-shell 9 mm round with a nominal weight of 8.0 g (124 gr) falling at 427 m/s (1,400 ft/s) or less.A level IIIA protection will also contain a .44 semi-casing projectile with a nominal mass of 15.6 g (240 gr) impacting at 427 m/s (1,400 ft/s) or less.It also provides protection from small arms fire projectiles listed in sections 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. of this document (levels I, IIA and III).
