The Marlin 1895 SBL lever-action rifle is the very first firearm of the Marlin brand since its acquisition by Ruger. The American lever-action rifle was crafted with special attention to detail, which is evident even from photographs. The weapon uses the proven design of the traditional 1895 combined with Ruger's excellent reputation for quality and reliability of products.
Every Marlin 1895 SBL rifle has a seal of quality imprinted in it. Although this model appears traditional, the tradition is blended with many modern elements, making the 1895 SBL rifle a perfect weapon (not only) for hunters and gamekeepers.
The new model features improved sights, specifically receiving a Ghost ring sight adjustable for elevation. The front sight with tritium fiber and high visibility during both day and night allows for quicker target acquisition even in poor lighting. We must also mention the Picatinny 1913 rail, which provides a stable mounting surface not only for additional optics.
The distinctive, elegant appearance and smoother operation are provided by the rifle's 1895 SBL nickel-plated bolt with spiral flutes. Not only does it enhance the aesthetics, but the refined shape of the stock and slimmer forearm also improve the ergonomics of the weapon. The stock and forearm have also received enhanced surface finishing, and the special checkered pattern on both parts of the weapon ensures a secure and firm grip in all conditions.
The threaded barrel of the Marlin 1895 SBL lever-action rifle will certainly please with a factory-installed polished thread protector. The used pattern of 11/16"-24 allows for the use of a muzzle brake or other barrel accessories.
The Marlin 1895 SBL model differs from the classic SBL by several details. These include the engraved place of manufacture in Mayodan, NC, the new RP mark on the left side of the weapon, the serial number starting with the letters "RM", the Marlin Horse and Rider logo engraved on the handle and the red-white Marlin bullseye, which was originally black and white.
The receiver, lever, and trigger guard are made by CNC machining from stainless steel 416, while the cold-forged barrel uses stainless steel 410. The manufacturing processes result in ultra-precise rifling with exceptional accuracy and long lifespan. The package also includes a six-round tube magazine and a soft rubber butt pad that absorbs recoil.
