The Ruger PC Backpacker Carbine semi-automatic rifle is designed for those who want a full-size rifle with a pistol caliber. The advantage is primarily the fact that thanks to the universal caliber, this rifle is also compatible with Glock magazines.
The Magpul brand, like Ruger, comes from the United States. And it is from Magpul that this semi-automatic rifle has its accessories and equipment. As the name suggests, the main component of the entire weapon is the Magpul PC Backpacker stock with an ergonomic grip and the option to install optional QD slings. It also features a non-slip rubber Magpul MOE SL butt pad.
The Magpul PC Backpacker is a stock that is visually similar to the X-22 Backpacker stock, which is also used for Ruger rifles. It is a minimalist solution that allows easy transport of the weapon and also has features such as an integrated storage space in the grip or additional storage space in the stock for storing a spare magazine.
An advantage of this weapon is also the interchangeable magazine wells for using standard Ruger and Glock magazines. The weapon is supplied as standard with an SR-Series/Security-9 pistol magazine, but the package also includes another magazine well that can accommodate Glock magazines.
Disassembling the weapon is really simple. Separating the barrel and fore-end facilitates the transport and storage of the rifle, and the disassembly itself is as easy as locking the bolt and checking the rifle's unloading. You simply twist and separate the individual parts of the rifle from each other. Another advantage is that the weapon is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed shooters thanks to the ambidextrous magazine release and charging handle.
The chrome-molybdenum steel barrel is cold-hammered with ultra-precise rifling, ensuring exceptional accuracy and long life. The rifling reduces weight and allows quick handling, while the threaded barrel with thread protector allows the use of standard muzzle accessories.
The accuracy of shooting with this rifle is ensured not only by the barrel design but also by the excellently executed sighting system with an adjustable circular rear sight and protected front sight. As is customary for the Ruger brand, you can expect very precise workmanship of uncompromising quality.
The fore-end is machine-made from aircraft aluminum and features an integrated Picatinny 1913 rail for the attachment of accessories and equipment including scopes. The entire assembly is surface-treated with type III hard anodizing for maximum resistance, among other things, to abrasion.
Other features of the Ruger PC Backpacker Carbine rifle include a light and crisp trigger pull that integrates proven components. The package also includes accessories in the form of one SR-Series or Security-9 pistol magazine and hex keys for sight adjustment and removing the charging handle.
