The SIG Sauer ROMEO-X Compact ROSE is an open-emitter pistol red dot sight featuring a red Circle Dot reticle with a 2 MOA center dot and 32 MOA circle. Inspired by the military ROMEO-M17, it combines a CNC-machined 7075 aluminum housing, a low deck height for co-witnessing with standard-height iron sights and a beryllium copper flexure adjustment system. The ROSE edition adds distinctive rose gold accents and is part of SIG Sauer's ROSE program focused on firearms education and training for women.
The ROMEO-X Compact incorporates technologies derived from the military-grade ROMEO-M17 red dot sight. Its housing is CNC machined from 7075 aluminum and features anti-reflective grooves on surfaces facing the shooter to help reduce unwanted glare. The open-emitter optical system uses an aspheric lens designed to provide a clear sight picture with minimal distortion.
Windage and elevation adjustments use a beryllium copper flexure system. This design provides a durable adjustment mechanism while helping maintain the optic's exceptionally low overall profile. A similar adjustment concept is also used in the military ROMEO-M17.
The reticle combines a precise 2 MOA center dot with a highly visible 32 MOA circle. The larger circle facilitates rapid reticle acquisition during the draw and at shorter distances, while the fine center dot supports more precise aiming. The optic provides 15 brightness settings, including 3 night vision settings.
The ROMEO-X Compact uses the COMPACT footprint, compatible with the Shield RMSc pattern, and can mount directly to pistols with a corresponding optic cut, including compatible optic-ready P365 models. Its low deck height allows co-witnessing with standard-height iron sights, reducing the need for suppressor-height sights solely because of the installed optic.
MOTAC motion-activated illumination powers up the optic when movement is detected and places it into standby after a period of inactivity. MAGNETAC provides an additional automatic control function when used with a compatible holster: a magnetic sensor powers down the optic when holstered and restores the last-used setting when the pistol is drawn. A CR1632 battery provides a stated runtime of up to 20,000 hours at medium brightness. The side-loading battery compartment allows battery replacement without removing the optic from the pistol.
The ROSE edition distinguishes itself from the standard ROMEO-X Compact with rose gold accents and dedicated engraving. It is part of the SIG Sauer ROSE program focused on firearms education and training for women and associated with professional shooter Lena Miculek.
