Telescopes are, simply put, devices that use the laws of optics to bring the observed object closer to the observer's vision. We distinguish between telescopes for one eye (monoculars) and telescopes for two eyes (binoculars).

Telescopes are often used for tactical purposes or hunting, but they also make a great accessory for hiking and nature observation enthusiasts. After all, how else can you get closer to wild animals than through a telescope! With a telescope, you can map out the terrain, even before shooting (although riflescopes are more suitable for the actual shooting). In any case, thanks to a telescope, you can see more distant objects. The first telescope was created in 1608, and its construction was handled by the Dutch optician and inventor Hans Lippershey. Today's telescopes have come a long way from their ancestor regarding materials used and optical processing, but the principle of operation is more or less still the same. Nowadays, we distinguish between several types of telescopes, even according to the types of lenses or mirrors used. The most common type of telescope is the so-called refractor type, which consists only of lenses; less commonly used is the reflector, which also uses a mirror to reflect the image into the sensor. We exclusively offer refractor telescopes, which work thanks to a specifically arranged system of lenses (concave and converging) in the tube, or in two tubes in the case of binoculars. While monoculars are smaller and take up less space in luggage or a tactical pouch, binoculars are more practical to use. That's why we have a little more of them in our offer. Telescopes occasionally come with additional features, such as a rangefinder or compass.
