The PGD Frag ballistic vest from Protection Group is designed in Denmark in collaboration with Orion Defense. It stands out primarily for its emphasis on maximum ballistic coverage, a cut for high mobility and an agile design. Now in an exclusive offer as an effective ballistic set.
The main priority in the development of the PGD Frag vest was to provide the user with reliable ballistic/fragmentation protection. Therefore, the vest can offer fragmentation protection according to STANAG2920 and also ballistic protection against small arms up to .44 Magnum caliber according to NIJ 0101.04 IIIA, which is sufficient for full 360° ballistic/fragmentation protection.
The PGD ballistic vest is supplied with a soft Kevlar Delta insert. This will provide sufficient user comfort and adapt to your every movement. The cut of the insert is designed to perfectly adapt to the body without causing a feeling of awkwardness or disrupting the necessary mobility. For correct and comfortable wearing of the vest, it is recommended to use all layers of clothing for the given wear when measuring your size.
The PGD ballistic vest boasts OUTLAST PCM technology. This technology ensures that the vest simply adapts to your body temperature. Traditional sweat-wicking materials will help you dissipate heat if you are overheated, i.e. active. However, OUTLAST PCM is not a material, but a technology that reacts to your body temperature. For example, if you are keeping watch in a cold environment, it will help you warm up. The technology was originally developed for NASA and increases the feeling of comfort even when worn all day.
The PGD ballistic vest is designed to carry plates in the front and back. However, to add a side ceramic plate, you need to purchase the given pocket, which is not included. The armor plates are inserted through a Velcro opening on the inside of the vest and you can adjust their height using the adjustable Cordura straps. The shoulder straps are highly tear-resistant and the material used gives them extreme durability.
The set also includes a tactical collar, which consists of two parts, the collar itself and the front throat protector. The collar is made of 500 denier Cordura laminate, which is significantly lighter than classic Cordura material and offers the best possible mobility for long-term wear. The fabric is highly resistant to water, tearing and abrasion. The collar has an indisputable advantage of its unisex design.
The tactical set is effectively complemented by groin and shoulder protectors. These protectors significantly increase the area of ballistic protection with minimal impact on mobility. All additional elements, i.e. the collar, groin and shoulder protectors, contain the same soft ballistic protection as the vest.
This PGD ballistic vest comes with soft ballistics included, a 3-in-1 solution. It is a bulletproof vest that has been tested to the highest level of protection, NIJ IIIA, and can withstand calibers up to .44 Magnum and .357 Sig. In addition, it is a stab-proof vest, at NIJ Level 1 (36 joules), both from knives and nails. It can also reflect energy, reducing blunt force trauma when struck with a baseball bat, for example.
The product is designed and manufactured exclusively for use in security forces (Police, Army, IRS units) or for use by people involved in ensuring public order (Municipal Police, designated state reserves), or for self-defense. The product is not categorized as PPE, therefore it cannot be used for activities other than those listed above, in particular it cannot be used for sports activities or for performing security guard activities.
