Black Diamond® Spot 450 Headlamp

The Black Diamond Spot 450 Headlamp delivers up to 450 lumens in a compact, lightweight design for hiking, camping, travel, and general outdoor use. Separate spot and flood optics provide long-range and close-range illumination, while red, green, and blue lighting modes, PowerTap control, and Dual-Fuel compatibility allow the headlamp to adapt to different activities and power sources.

Spot, Flood, and RGB Lighting

The focused spot beam illuminates trails and objects at longer distances, while the flood beam provides broad, even light for close-range tasks such as cooking, reading, or organizing equipment. Red, green, and blue lighting modes help preserve night vision and provide additional options for different low-light situations. Adjustable brightness, strobe, and SOS modes are also available.

PowerTap and Brightness Memory

PowerTap technology provides quick access to maximum output from the current setting with a tap of the housing. Brightness Memory turns the headlamp back on at the previously selected output instead of returning to a default setting. A digital lockout helps prevent accidental activation inside a pocket or backpack.

Dual-Fuel Power

The Spot 450 can be powered by three AAA batteries or by the rechargeable Black Diamond BD 1500 lithium-ion battery, which is sold separately. This Dual-Fuel system allows the user to choose between widely available disposable batteries and a rechargeable power source. An integrated battery-level indicator provides a quick reference to the remaining charge.

IPX7 Waterproof Housing

The IPX7-rated housing is tested for operation in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, providing protection during heavy rain and accidental immersion. Despite its output and range of lighting modes, the headlamp weighs only 86 g. Recycled materials are used in the headband and hinge construction.
