Patches and Insignia

Patches and insignia come in a wide variety of shapes and purposes. Some serve a practical function – for instance, those identifying a soldier’s blood type, national affiliation, unit, or role (such as medic or dog handler). Others are primarily motivational – these are known as morale patches, designed to express determination, personality, or a sense of humor.

Today, patches are not limited to the armed forces. They are also popular among civilian enthusiasts of airsoft, paintball, and outdoor survival activities, as well as anyone passionate about tactical or adventure gear.

Design and Materials

Most patches feature a Velcro backing (standard hook-and-loop fastener) for easy attachment. The front surface can be embroidered for a classic, textured appearance or made of 3D molded PVC for a sleek, modern look.

While rectangular patches are the most common, they also come in circular, square, and custom shapes. Simply choose your preferred design and material – patches can be easily applied to uniforms, caps, backpacks, or any surface with Velcro.
