These are the three key attributes that made the brand famous. This is also true for the Messerschmitt 1911 5" pistol in the standard .45 ACP caliber.

Classic, yet modern

The Messerschmitt 1911 with a five-inch barrel is a classic 1911-type semi-automatic pistol. However, it boasts innovations and a modern design in either stainless steel or black finish. It is available in .45 ACP caliber or, in another variant, in 9×19 mm caliber.

Full-size frame

This pistol is full-sized, which means it utilizes a full-size frame forged from steel. The front part of the frame features a standard and versatile Picatinny mounting rail, on which you can attach various accessories, including lights. Even in the standard variant, the pistol is equipped with a flat mainspring housing.

Single action trigger

The Messerschmitt 1911 5" pistol features a standard SA (Single Action) trigger mechanism. The trigger itself and the Commander-type hammer are lightweight, or skeletonized. Additional equipment includes an extended beavertail grip safety and an extended ambidextrous safety.

Low-profile Novak sights

The sights that come standard with the Messerschmitt 1911 5" pistol include an adjustable rear low-profile LPA TRT sight and a front steel Novak sight. The LPA TRT sight is suitable for both sports shooting and everyday carry (EDC). Its advantage is that it can be adjusted for height and windage. Hardened click screws can be used for adjustments.

Durable grips with texture

A firm and secure grip on the weapon is ensured by durable grips with a rougher texture (checkering). They are made from G-10 material and are designed to prevent the pistol from slipping from your hand in rain and moisture, or in hot weather when your palms are likely to sweat. G-10 material is suitable for these purposes due to its properties, including high grip, low absorbency and resistance to chemicals.
