KA-BAR Short Fighting is a smaller version of the legendary knife, which in 1942 became part of the standard combat equipment of the United States Marine Corps members. In peacetime, however, you will especially appreciate it during camping and survival activities.

Robust construction

The base is a blade of high-quality carbon steel 1095 Cro-Van. It has characteristic clip-point shape and a combo edge. The plain part is suitable for slicing, cutting or splitting. Thanks to the serrated edge you can easily cut fibrous materials such as straps, ropes or parts of vegetation. The tactical appearance of the knife is enhanced by the black coating, which prevents unwanted reflections.

Comfortable grip

The shaped handle consists of pressed leather, between which there are anti-slip grooves. Thanks to the use of natural material, the grip is pleasant even when freezes. In the front part of the handle you will find a stainless steel finger guard, the back part is ended by a metal butt cap.

Leather sheath

The knife comes with a cowhide leather sheath made in Mexico. The knife is secured in it with a snap button fastener, so you can safely carry it hanging on a belt.

Little bit of a history

Legendary knives usually have a quality that surpasses other products. This also applies to KA-BAR knives. The company, founded in New York in 1897, originally produced mainly cutlery. A little later, they started producing hunting knives, which were still sold under the Union brand. At that time, a story began to float around the people about a trapper who killed a bear only with the brand's knife. And so the term Ka-bar was born, which is a corruption of the English "kill a bear".
