The Helikon-Tex Defender Mk2 Pilgrim long-sleeved shirt is built for outdoor activities, manual work and peace by the fire. It holds its shape, handles the load and is comfortable to wear all day long. The material withstands demanding conditions, the cut does not restrict movement and the pockets make sense. When functionality without unnecessary things is needed, the Pilgrim fits exactly where it should.
The basis is a strong blend of polyester and nylon with DuPont Sorona from DuPont. The fabric can handle everyday wear and longer stays in nature and is pleasant to the touch. The Sorona addition helps reduce odor and the shirt provides effective protection against sunlight. The material used meets the strict environmental and safety requirements of the Bluesign standard.
Long sleeves with button fastening allow adjustment as needed, whether at work or in colder weather. The cuffs have multiple fastening options and a third button in the slit keeps the sleeve where it should be. The shirt collar is shaped so that it does not twist, and the soft lining on the inside reduces the risk of skin irritation.
There are four pockets on the chest divided according to use. Two classic pockets with flaps and Velcro can hold a mobile phone, for example. Two more pockets with vertical YKK zippers from YKK are suitable for documents, a wallet or navigation items. There is a discreet but practical eyeglass loop between the pockets.
The Defender Mk2 Pilgrim belongs to the Bushcraft Line from Helikon-Tex. It takes into account that clothing must function reliably in the field, but also withstand normal wear. The result is a shirt that does not look overly technical, but does not disappoint when the going gets tough.
