The Antreg VLC 556 LP is a low-backpressure suppressor designed primarily for AR-15 platform rifles chambered in .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO. Its advanced internal design reduces gas blowback, minimizes gas directed toward the shooter's face, and suppresses visible muzzle flash. The monolithic Inconel body is manufactured using additive manufacturing technology and mounts via the Antreg VULCAN quick-detach system. The suppressor is rated for both semi-automatic and full-automatic fire.
The VLC 556 LP redirects part of the expanding gases forward, reducing backpressure within the firearm's operating system. This helps decrease gas blowback toward the shooter while reducing carbon fouling inside the action. Lower backpressure also contributes to smoother bolt carrier group operation, particularly during high-volume firing or when using shorter-barreled rifles.
In addition to sound suppression, the internal baffle design significantly reduces visible muzzle flash. Lower flash signature helps preserve the shooter's night vision and reduces visual detection in low-light environments.
The suppressor body is manufactured as a single-piece monolithic structure using 3D-printed Inconel, a nickel-based superalloy known for exceptional heat and wear resistance. The titanium locking collar minimizes overall weight, while the self-cleaning internal geometry helps reduce carbon buildup. The textured exterior also improves heat dissipation and provides a secure grip during handling.
The VLC 556 LP attaches using the Antreg VULCAN quick-detach mounting system and is compatible with VULCAN M1, M2, F1, and F2 muzzle devices. This allows the suppressor to be installed or removed within seconds while leaving the muzzle device permanently mounted to the rifle.
With an overall length of 180 mm, a diameter of 42 mm, and a total weight of 460 g, the suppressor is designed for demanding professional use. The suppressor body weighs approximately 380 g without the titanium locking collar. The design supports both semi-automatic and full-automatic firing and is compatible with optional front breaching attachments or a thermal shield for safer handling after prolonged firing.
