The Waterproof Notebook 76 × 130 Modestone contains 50 sheets of durable stone paper designed for note-taking in the field and demanding conditions. The material resists water, grease, dirt, and tearing, and can be written on not only with a pen or pencil but, if necessary, also with a key, nail, or another sharp object.
The sheets are made from stone paper consisting of approximately 80% calcium carbonate and 20% HDPE. The material resists water, snow, grease, and dirt and is difficult to tear. The cut edges are treated to prevent water absorption, allowing the notebook to withstand prolonged exposure to water.
The stone paper can be written on with a regular pen or pencil. If conventional writing tools are not available, you can also leave a mark using a key, nail, or another suitable sharp object.
Each sheet features a 7 × 7 mm grid suitable for notes, sketches, simple diagrams, and recording measurements or other field data.
The notebook measures 76 × 130 mm and contains 50 sheets, providing a total of 100 pages. Its compact size makes it easy to carry in a uniform pocket, trouser pocket, pouch, or backpack.
The Wire-O top spiral binding makes the pages easy to turn and allows comfortable writing even in confined spaces. The paper weight is approximately 144 g/m², while the entire notebook weighs around 75 g.
Inside the covers you will find practical reference tools for field use, including a ruler and a scale for working with 1:50,000 maps.
Stone paper does not use traditional cellulose fibres. It is made primarily from calcium carbonate combined with HDPE, and the material is recyclable.
