Wendy Moore was an artist and athlete, but mainly daughter and sister. After her tragic death during skiing accident, her father´s idea was to start making ski helmets to avoid similar fatal accidents. 

Team Wendy is a legendary company that would not exist without one fatal accident. Wendy Moore was a young girl, who died tragically from a traumatic brain injury following a skiing accident. Team Wendy was founded by her father Dan T. Moore from Cleveland, meaning Team Wendy is more than a company - it´s a legacy. 

It all started with ski helmets 

It is almost incredible, but Team Wendy has been on the market for 25 years now. During company existence, the business changed its direction, but the goal has remained the same – to save people´s lives. Originally, it started with ski helmets, but Team Wendy gradually began to focus on designing and development of products for the military, police and other members of Integrated Rescue System or adventurers to keep Wendy’s legacy alive.

Team Wendy products for hundreds of thousands of people

Team Wendy products are nowdays used by hundreds of thousands of people. In addition to civilians, they are also members of armed forces including the U.S. Army. For manufacturer, constant innovations, thanks to which company moves forward and makes better and better products, are essential.

From ski helmet to military 

Team Wendy´s first ski helmet was launched in 1998. At that time it wasn´t really "in" or "cool" to wear a ski helmet. However, this attitude of the public gradually began to change, and it was also thanks to the Team Wendy. Team Wendy used its proprietary Zorbium foam liner, which sent company´s  business in a new direction.

In 2005 the Zorbium® Action Pad NSN Liner System became the officially approved liner system for all standard issue U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy ground combat helmets. Cooperation with armed forces continues through partnership with National Industries for the Blind, which helps, among other things, to war veterans.

Products for elite teams 

So far, more than 7 million Team Wendy combat helmet liner systems have been supplied to U.S. service members. Since 2012 the company producing complete helmet systems with the launch of the first tactical bump helmet EXFIL Carbon.

Nowdays, Team Wendy offers eight models with compatible accessories, aftermarket liner systems and retention systems. Armed forces, rescuers and adventurers can therefore focus on their mission, not their helmet.

Team Wendy also delivers products to elite teams and organizations in more than 55 allied nations worldwide, including the U.S. Army 10th Special Forces Group, Australian Defence Force, Brazilian Federal Police or every U.S. federal FEMA team.

Team Wendy products are designed and manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio. Over the last years the company was recognized as a winner of the awards for the best employer.The company Avon Protection acquired Team wendy in 2020, which created a global leader in head protection systems for the military a first responders. Team Wendy proudly says, that the brand is responsible for producing the most protective and comfortable helmets on the market.
