The Best Basics Type A2 target is designed for both individuals and group shooting, such as in courses or training. It offers several target areas, each focusing on slightly different training practices. Essentially, this is a target that an individual can use for warm-up, instinctive, and repeated shooting, but it can also be useful for groups.
In the upper left corner, you will find a total of five pairs of circles, each 25 mm in size. The shooting distance to these targets is ideally 2-4 meters, depending on the shooting range's capabilities. The circles simulate a larger target at a longer distance, but according to the rule "Aim small miss small," it is good to start shooting at these. This helps a person better adjust their trigger pull, grip, and sights.
In the upper right part of the target, there is a circle with shaded gradients. This target is excellent for practicing repeated shots, or possibly for rectifying a collimator. In the case of repeated shooting, we can gradually observe how the shots spread across the circle and determine if we can increase speed or not.
In cases where training is conducted, the target has various shapes, which are complemented by either letters or numbers in the case of smaller circles. This system offers the use of an instructor who can freely use individual labels or descriptions to command firing at the target. For instance, the number 4 is omitted from the small circles to test the shooter's attention.
On the right side of the target, below the circle for repeated shooting practice, there is a rectangular target with a line down the middle. This can be used to check and train triggering. If a shooter aims directly at the line and the shot lands off to one side, it's necessary to work on the triggering technique.
For defensive shooting training, the main impact zone features an outline of human anatomy. This zone is dimensioned to resemble an adult male, so proportions and sizes are as realistic as possible.
