Sharpening ComboStone 2“ x 8" Lansky® Fine/Coarse

Dual Grit Combo Stone offers the comfort of two grits in one stone. It is excellent for sharpening fixed blade knives but also folding knives, hunting and fishing knives and others. It is also great for cutting tools for gardening or woodworking or for maintenance of industrial cutting tool. Dark grey, coarse side offers grit 120, light grey, fine side 600 grit.

Instuctions for use 

• dark grey, coarse – for dull or damaged edge 
• light grey, medium – for touch ups or maintaining of already sharp edge 

Step 7 - clean stone after each use and store in cool dry place 

Suggestions 

1. for best results use both sides of the stone 
2. start with 3 - 4 strokes on each side; repeat 3 - 4 times 
3. then use only 2 strokes on each side; repeat 2 - 3 times 
4. then 1 stroke on each side; repeat 1 - 2 times 
5. if starter with course side, move onto the fine side 
6. if you choose to use lubricant, use the same lubricant for every sharpening; lubricant helps to clean the stone and prevent clogging of the surface with metal shavings
