The Lowa Zicon LO GTX Duty Shoes are designed for police officers, security personnel and other professional users. Their low-cut profile supports freedom of movement, while the full-grain leather upper, GORE-TEX Professional membrane, dual-density LOWA DynaPU midsole and slip-resistant LOWA COVERT outsole provide protection and comfort during everyday duty. The metal-free, ESD-capable construction is certified to EN ISO 20347:2022.
The upper is made from smooth full-grain leather approximately 1.6–1.8 mm thick. RAYFLECT technology helps reduce heat buildup in the material when exposed to sunlight, supporting a more comfortable environment inside the shoe.
The GORE-TEX Professional membrane provides durable waterproof, windproof and breathable protection. It helps prevent water from entering while allowing moisture vapor to escape during extended wear.
The low-cut profile provides greater freedom around the ankle, making the shoes suitable for dynamic movement and extended shifts. The standard version uses a last designed for medium-width feet, while a separate W version is available for wider feet.
The directly injected LOWA DynaPU midsole uses two polyurethane densities. The softer section supports cushioning and flexibility, while the firmer section provides stability during prolonged standing and walking.
The LOWA COVERT outsole provides slip resistance and resistance to fuel oil. The sole construction also meets the relevant requirements for heat and cold insulation and resistance to contact heat.
The ESD-capable design helps dissipate electrostatic charge, making the shoes suitable for environments containing sensitive electronic equipment. The construction is completely metal-free and uses closed lacing hardware to reduce snagging.
The model is certified for use with orthopedic insoles and individualized footwear modifications in accordance with DGUV 112-191.
The Zicon LO GTX is certified as occupational footwear under EN ISO 20347:2022 with the designation O2 WR FO CI HI HRO SR. The certification covers water penetration and absorption resistance, whole-footwear water resistance, fuel-oil resistance, cold and heat insulation, contact-heat resistance and slip resistance.
The shoe measures approximately 85 mm high on the inner side and 120 mm on the outer side. It weighs approximately 455 g per shoe, or around 910 g per pair.
