Protection Group® Super Lightweight ICW PGD Level III ballistic plate

As the name suggests, the Super Lightweight PGD Level III ballistic plate is truly lightweight. It provides optimal ballistic protection and is a so-called hard plate. This solution comes from the Danish company Protection Group, which specializes in ballistic protection.

Lightweight, thin, top-notch

This top-notch ballistic plate from Protection Group is only 13 mm thin and exceptionally lightweight. The manufacturer states that it is one of the lightest hard ballistic plates that can guarantee protection against rifle shots from M80, AK47 and M193 platforms. It is a ballistic plate for users who do not want to make any compromises in their protection.

The best (and lightest) on the market

The Protection Group Super Lightweight PGD Level III ballistic plate is manufactured in Europe from advanced polyethylene compressed under high pressure. At the time this text is written (end of August 2024), it is the absolute lightest and thinnest hard ballistic plate on the market. Additionally, it is multi-curved, making it ergonomic and comfortable to carry.

High level of protection

Even though this ballistic plate is so lightweight, users do not have to compromise on protection. In combination with soft ballistic protection level NIJ 3a, this plate can stop bullets from M80 (NIJ 0101.06), AK47 and M193 platforms. All levels of protection mentioned are valid when used in conjunction with soft ballistics (ICW) only.

High durability

This ballistic plate can protect itself as well as it protects you. It is resistant to drops (according to NIJ 0101.06), against liquids including water and oil, and against extreme temperatures on both ends. It is also physically shaped into the SAPI form, making it highly compatible with plate carriers of the same standard.
