Swagman Roll® Poncho Liner – Climashield® Apex™ 67 g – Helikon-Tex®

The Swagman Roll^® by Helikon-Tex^® is a multifunction insulated poncho liner inspired by traditional outdoor gear used by travelers and bushcrafters. The name “swagman” comes from Australian slang for a wandering traveler carrying their gear. Just like that traditional kit, the Swagman Roll^® is designed to provide warmth, versatility, and protection in changing outdoor conditions.

The liner can be used in multiple ways – as insulation under a poncho, a lightweight blanket, a sleeping bag liner, an emergency sleeping bag, or as insulation for a hammock. Thanks to its low weight and excellent compressibility, it packs easily into travel or bushcraft gear.

Lightweight Climashield^® Apex™ Insulation

The Swagman Roll^® is made from lightweight nylon fabric filled with Climashield^® Apex™ insulation, one of the leading synthetic insulation materials. It provides an excellent balance of warmth and weight while maintaining insulating performance even in wet conditions. The outer fabric is treated with a DuPont™ Teflon^® DWR finish that increases resistance to moisture and dirt.

Thoughtful Practical Details

The Swagman Roll^® features a spacious front zippered pocket for storing small gear. Inside the pocket there is also a hanging loop for attaching gloves or other accessories. The liner can be easily packed either into its integrated pocket or into the included drawstring stuff sack for convenient transport.

Compatible with Ponchos

The liner is compatible with standard USGI ponchos, including original military models and modern replicas from various manufacturers – such as the Helikon-Tex^® U.S. Poncho Ripstop. Edge toggles allow quick attachment to the poncho, creating an insulated layer suitable for colder conditions.
