The S100 folding knife is the first model of the new S series, built around a classic slipjoint mechanism and straightforward construction. Two-handed opening and the absence of a locking system make it suitable for calm, discreet everyday use. Compared to previous ANV slipjoint models, the S100 features a full-length spacer along the spine. It is designed as a civilian-oriented pocket knife without emphasis on speed or tactical deployment.
The S100 uses a traditional slipjoint mechanism without a lock and requires two-handed opening. This solution appeals to users who prefer mechanically simple construction. The non-locking design also complies with stricter knife legislation in certain countries. With the S series, ANV expands its portfolio toward classic, civilian folding knives.
The knife incorporates a full spacer running along the entire spine. This element increases structural stability and contributes to overall rigidity. It also influences grip ergonomics and the knife’s feel during use. This construction detail sets the S100 apart from earlier ANV slipjoint designs.
The blade is made from cryogenically treated Sandvik stainless steel. It features the ANV Swedge design with a drop point profile, reflecting the brand’s established blade geometry. A stonewash finish reduces the visibility of everyday wear. Blade movement is supported by Teflon washers for smooth operation.
The G10 handle combines two surface textures. The rougher upper section along the spine improves grip security, while the smoother lower section enhances comfort during extended use. An index finger cutout supports hand positioning and partially functions as a guard. Despite the knife’s low weight, the longer handle ensures a stable grip.
The knife features a reversible deep-carry pocket clip with a rounded profile for discreet carry. It allows comfortable insertion and removal from the pocket. The S100 also includes the ANV Lumidot, a subtle luminescent element typical of the brand. Overall, the design remains clean, practical, and understated.
