This pistol is exceptional at first glance. It is a revolutionary semi-automatic pistol that boasts several patented, unique technical solutions. As a result, according to the manufacturer, it is "the first of its kind." For example, the Alien pistol's control system does not use outdated locking mechanisms or the usual trigger mechanism.
The Alien pistol is the work of Laugo Arms Czechoslovakia, originally founded in Trenčín and later moved to Prague. Thus, Alien is of Czech-Slovak origin, both in development and production. The originality is evident in the design – it features a very successful appearance, robust construction, and modularity. Thanks to this, Alien by Laugo Arms has already become the holder of significant awards.
The barrel of the pistol is firmly mounted in the weapon's frame, contributing to higher shooting accuracy, as does the precise execution of this solution. The lowest barrel position among all pistols on the market, with a bore axis 1.7 mm below the grip axis, ensures virtually unnoticeable lift during firing. The manufacturer states that this and other solutions "will change your perception of firearms."
Increased control over the weapon when shooting is ensured by the special Laugo Arms system, which uses delayed gas recoil. Instead of outdated locking slides, the Alien pistol uses gas piston delay against the slide's movement. The stronger the shot, the more it slows down the recoil. Even when using stronger ammunition, your control over the recoil doesn't diminish.
The upper part of the slide can be replaced with a single click, giving you the option to add various types of sliding rails for sights, collimators, red dots, or MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) rails. Increased modularity also ensures the option to modify the pistol with a set for the OPEN division, which includes a compensator, upper rail, extended magazine well, and more.
We have already mentioned the reduction of recoil when using different types of ammunition. However, the pistol's solution has another advantage in this regard. Thanks to the sights, which are firmly mounted on the (non-movable) upper rail, the recoil is reduced, and thus the longevity of the collimator you decide to use with this pistol can be considerably extended.
Besides the above-mentioned original solutions, the Laugo Arms Alien pistol also features classic elements that are relatively common in this segment. Certainly, ambidextrous magazine release (so it doesn't matter if you're right- or left-handed), trigger safety, short Picatinny rail under the barrel, interchangeable grips for further pistol customization, or adjustable metal sights will please.
Thanks to the fact that the pistol is supplied in the Full Kit variant, you get a lot of practical accessories in one package. The pistol, packed in a Nanuk case with distinct safety padding, is complemented by a rail with a Laugo collimator, magazine well extension, three magazines, a kydex holster with H6H MKII suspension, and a basic firearm cleaning chemistry set.
