One of the main advantages of the Walther PDP F-Series pistols is their ergonomic design, as well as excellent adaptability to the individual needs and habits of the shooter. These guns also boast smooth operation and are easy to handle.
Walther PDP pistols boast perfect factory craftsmanship, which is also the case for the F-Series. This series, regardless of barrel length, brings innovations that are especially (but not exclusively) appreciated by female shooters. Compared to the standard PDP model, the F-Series pistols are better ergonomically adapted to the female hand.
The manufacturer redesigned the grip ergonomics of the F-Series pistols according to the biomechanics of female hands. Hence, female shooters do not need to adapt to the weapon - the weapon adapts to them. Despite the ergonomic changes, F-Series pistols remain primarily PDP – Performance Duty Pistol, a high-performance service pistol.
However, the PDP F-Series pistols are by no means intended only for service use but also for personal defense or sports shooting. The patented F-Series control system also includes a shorter trigger reach, modified and perceptibly lower recoil, and a shorter reset.
The robust slide of the weapon features enlarged SuperTerrain serrations, which simplify handling the pistol. Among other things, they make it much easier to handle with gloves, without them, or even with sweaty hands, in any weather. The ergonomic grip has a pyramid surface texture.
All Walther PDP series pistols are ready for the installation of pistol reflex sights – they are so-called Optics Ready. They come equipped with a cover plate for the base of the reflex sight, which you just need to unscrew and install pistol reflex sights from almost all major manufacturers of firearm optics in its place.
Walther PDP F-Series pistols are standardly equipped with sights featuring white dots, specifically a low adjustable rear sight in both axes and a prismatic front sight. We must also mention the Picatinny 1913 rail, on which you can easily install additional firearm accessories to increase the usability of your weapon in various scenarios. The modularity is further enhanced by interchangeable backstraps.
One of the advantages of the Walther PDP F-Series pistols is the smooth action of the innovated Performance Duty Trigger, characterized by a very gentle, smooth operation with a short reset. This trigger is generally considered the best trigger in its class.
