The Apex Aluminum Trigger Kit Type 3 for Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 pistols is designed to refine trigger operation while preserving factory safety standards. The kit improves trigger feel by reducing pre-travel, smoothing the pull, and providing a more consistent and predictable reset.

Refined trigger performance

After installation, the trigger exhibits reduced resistance, shorter travel, and a more defined reset. These changes improve consistency and control during repeated shots, making the trigger easier to manage during training and regular use.

Aluminum trigger shoe

The factory polymer trigger shoe is replaced with a precision-machined aluminum trigger finished in black anodizing. The aluminum construction provides a firmer, more tactile contact and eliminates the soft or spongy feel commonly associated with plastic triggers.

Type 3 design

The Type 3 version retains the same functional geometry as the standard Apex aluminum trigger but features updated shape details. Tapered front edges replace rounded contours, creating a slimmer visual profile and improved finger placement without altering trigger mechanics. Subtle side cutouts add a refined, modern appearance.

Drop-in installation

The trigger kit is designed as a drop-in replacement and does not require permanent modification to the frame. Installation involves replacing the factory trigger components with Apex parts. Professional installation by a qualified gunsmith is recommended to ensure correct function and safety verification.

Safety and carry suitability

The centrally located trigger safety and factory safety systems remain fully functional after installation. The trigger kit is suitable for pistols used for duty, carry, and training, provided proper installation and function checks are performed.
