Long-life rye bread from the German company Trek'n Eat is hermetically sealed in a tin made of thin metal, so that it really lasts a long time. It is suitable for nutrition on trips outside civilization, but you can also pack it in your emergency supplies in your evacuation luggage.
Thanks to the practical and almost indestructible packaging, the bread inside remains protected from external influences. And above all from bacteria that cause decay, from insects and rodents and from the effects of the weather. The shelf life of the bread is thus really high.
Trek'n Eat sliced bread, which is steamed without preservatives, is intended for direct consumption. So there is no need to modify it in any way - you simply combine it with butter or other ingredients like regular bread, or eat it just like that.
Due to legislative rules, bread must have a minimum shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture, however in practice you can expect a much longer shelf life - this whole grain rye bread will probably be suitable for consumption even decades after the date of manufacture.
