The Pixfra Cetus C335 is a compact thermal riflescope built around a 384 × 288 VOx detector with NETD sensitivity of ≤15 mK. Its 35 mm F1.0 objective lens provides 4.1× native magnification and a manufacturer-rated detection range of up to 1,800 m, making the configuration suitable for observation at medium and longer distances. PIPS 3.0 image processing, customizable zeroing profiles, and recoil-activated recording support hunting in demanding light and weather conditions.
The uncooled VOx detector combines a 384 × 288 resolution with a 12 μm pixel pitch. Its low NETD value helps distinguish subtle temperature differences and retain useful target and background detail in rain, fog, vegetation, and other low-contrast conditions.
A 50 Hz refresh rate maintains smooth image movement when scanning terrain or tracking moving animals and other heat sources.
The 35 mm F1.0 objective lens provides 4.1× native magnification and a field of view measuring 13.2 × 9.9 m at 100 m. The narrower viewing angle provides greater image scale at distance while retaining enough surrounding area for target tracking.
The manufacturer specifies a detection range of up to 1,800 m. Digital magnification can be increased progressively up to 8× when closer inspection of a selected area is required.
PIPS 3.0 processes the detector output to improve fine detail and maintain image definition at higher digital magnification. Picture-in-picture enlarges the central area while retaining the wider scene in the main display.
Additional viewing tools include hot spot tracking, defective-pixel correction, multiple flat-field correction modes, and six selectable color palettes.
The thermal image is displayed on a 0.5" OLED screen with a resolution of 1600 × 1200 px. The display uses a curved interface designed to keep essential information readable while aiming and adjusting the riflescope.
A 50 mm eye relief provides suitable viewing distance when the scope is mounted on a firearm. Adjustable diopter correction allows the eyepiece to be adapted to the user’s eyesight.
The Cetus C335 can store five zeroing profiles with selectable reticle patterns and colors. Profiles can be added, renamed, deleted, and organized into different zeroing-distance groups.
Compatible settings and zeroing functions can also be managed through the Pixfra Outdoor mobile app.
The recoil-activated recording function uses an impact sensor to save footage from 15 seconds before to 15 seconds after a shot. This captures the relevant sequence without requiring recording to be started manually before every shot.
The scope can also capture photographs and conventional video with sound. Files are stored in the 64 GB internal memory and can be transferred to a compatible smartphone through the built-in Wi-Fi connection.
Power is supplied by a replaceable rechargeable 18650 battery. The press-to-release battery cover allows the battery to be changed quickly without tools.
Runtime is at least five hours at 25 °C with Wi-Fi switched off. The USB-C port also supports operation from a compatible external power source.
The magnesium-alloy housing provides structural rigidity while keeping the riflescope’s weight to approximately 520 g. A combined wheel-and-button control layout keeps frequently used functions accessible without requiring a large control panel.
The IP67-rated construction protects the scope against dust and temporary water immersion. It is also rated to withstand recoil acceleration of 1,000 g for 0.4 ms. A Weaver-compatible mount is included for attachment to a suitable rail.
