The Survival Splint is a lightweight, moldable splint designed for the temporary immobilization of suspected fractures, sprains, and other limb injuries. Its aluminum core holds the selected shape, while the outer foam layer provides cushioning between the splint and the injured limb. It is suitable for home first aid kits, sports activities, travel, and field use.
The splint measures 61 × 11 cm when opened and weighs 75 g. Its aluminum core can be formed around the injured limb and shaped into U, C, or T profiles to increase rigidity where needed. Once positioned, the splint can be secured with a bandage or cohesive wrap, including the SMART Bandage.
The foam outer layer improves comfort during application and protects the aluminum core. The splint features waterproof construction, withstands temperature changes, and can be cleaned after use. It may be reused when its condition and hygiene allow.
The splint is vacuum-packed in a space-saving Flat Pack measuring 20.5 × 11 × 2 cm. This compact format makes it easy to store inside a first aid kit, medical bag, backpack, or vehicle emergency kit without taking up unnecessary space.
