The Ruger Harrier is a modern sporting rifle built on the proven AR platform and manufactured to mil-spec dimensions. It combines forged 7075 aluminum receivers, a free-float M-LOK handguard, and a nitrided barrel for dependable performance, durability, and compatibility with standard AR components and accessories.

Forged 7075 Aluminum Receivers

Both the upper and lower receivers are precision-machined from forged 7075 aluminum and finished with durable Type III hardcoat anodizing for increased wear resistance. The lower receiver features a tensioning screw designed to reduce play between the upper and lower assemblies for a tighter overall fit.

Nitrided Barrel and Bolt Carrier Group

The rifle is equipped with a 16-inch Government-profile barrel featuring a durable nitride finish and a carbine-length gas system. An A2-style flash hider comes factory-installed and can be replaced with compatible muzzle devices. The bolt carrier and gas key also feature a nitrided finish for improved corrosion resistance and service life.

Free-Float M-LOK Handguard

The slim-profile free-float handguard improves handling while providing ample mounting space for accessories and mission-specific equipment. M-LOK attachment slots are positioned at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, with additional slots near the front of the handguard. Integrated QD sling sockets and Picatinny rail sections support flexible setup configurations.

Mil-Spec AR Compatibility

The Harrier follows standard AR and mil-spec dimensions, allowing compatibility with a wide range of aftermarket parts, furniture, optics, and accessories. Familiar controls and standardized components simplify maintenance and customization.
