The Sig P226 was a longtime service weapon of the Navy Seals. Therefore, the engineers at Arex likely thought that what is good for Seals operators might also be good for Arex customers, and they created the Zero 1 Standard model. The evident inspiration from the legendary Sig is undeniable.
Just like its predecessor from Sig, the Arex Zero 1 Standard is a semi-automatic pistol with an external hammer and DA/SA trigger with a smooth action and short reset, as we're already accustomed to with Arex pistols. Proven quality does not need to be changed.
The grip is pleasantly ergonomic, and although it seems more suited for shooters with larger hands, the opposite is true, as it is also comfortable for ladies with smaller hands. The grip confidence is 100%, and the weapon fits excellently in the hand.
The Zero 1 Standard features a new, enhanced aluminum alloy frame with a Picatinny rail. The durability and lifespan of the material are thus maximized. And that's not where the list of positives for this pistol ends. A 17-round magazine, ambidextrous magazine release, and ambidextrous manual safety all satisfy even the highest demands. The slide stop also serves as a decocking lever, just like with the original P226. A chamber-loaded indicator is positioned on the top edge of the slide.
