The Sig P226 has been the long-standing service weapon of the Navy Seals. So the engineers at Arex probably thought that what is good for the Seals operators might be good for Arex customers as well, and they created the Zero 1 S model. The clear inspiration from the legendary Sig is undeniable.
Just like its predecessor from Sig, the Arex Zero 1 S is a semi-automatic pistol with an external hammer and a DA/SA trigger with a smooth action and short reset, as we are already accustomed to with Arex pistols. Additionally, it comes in a Nickel finish with a nickel-plated frame and wooden grips.
The grip is pleasantly ergonomic, and even though it seems suited for shooters with larger hands, the opposite is true, and it holds well even for women with smaller hands. Grip security is 100%, and the weapon fits perfectly in the hand.
The Zero 1 S boasts a range of excellent user features, including an aluminum alloy frame, an extended Picatinny rail, a 17-round magazine, ambidextrous magazine release, and ambidextrous manual safety. The slide stop also serves as a decocking lever, just like the original P226. A chamber-loaded indicator is located on the top edge of the slide.
