A pistol cartridge with a typical bottleneck shape, originally designed for the Tokarev pistol, but soon widely used for Russian Shpagin and Sudayev submachine guns. It's like an improved German in Russian service.
This is an improved version of the original 7.62 x 25 mm Mauser cartridge.
