The Ruger 57 in a caliber of 5.7x28 mm is a unique pistol with a polymer frame and double-stack magazine, suitable for long-distance shooting.

Easy shooting

The pistol features a barrel made of alloy steel with a black nitride finish for better wear resistance. The serrations on the front and rear of the slide facilitate reloading and chamber checking. The single-action trigger mechanism with an internal hammer has a short and well-defined reset. The Ruger 57 shoots high-energy 5.7×28 mm ammunition with relatively low recoil, which is only slightly more than that of a 22LR sport caliber.

Simple aiming

The weapon has adjustable rear sights for height and windage and a fiber optic front sight for comfortable aiming in dim light. In addition, the pistol includes a standard Picatinny rail for mounting a reflex sight or other accessories.

Excellent ergonomics

The new Ruger 57 pistol boasts impressive ergonomics with a narrow steel magazine in a composite frame.The grip features a non-slip texture that ensures great control over the weapon.The straight handle of the pistol has a natural angle. The rear part of the frame is significantly undercut, allowing for a high grip on the weapon. Despite the longer cartridges and wider grip, the distance to the trigger is comparable to popular 9mm Para pistols. Partial disassembly of the pistol is simple and does not require any tools.

High safety

The weapon is equipped with numerous safety features, including an ambidextrous manual safety in the style of the 1911, a trigger safety, a lightweight firing pin, and a neutrally balanced trigger with a significant engagement and strong spring tension. The sear latch helps prevent the hammer from touching the firing pin unless the trigger is pressed.

Unique ammunition

The Ruger 57 in a 5.7×28 caliber is only the second semi-automatic pistol in the world to shoot 5.7×28 mm cartridges, originally designed for the FN Five-Seven and P90 PDW. The cartridges are housed in a steel magazine with a capacity of 20 rounds, giving the weapon exceptional firepower. There is a cutout at the bottom of the grip to facilitate magazine removal in case of a jam.
