ESP® RK-01 Rescue Folding Knife with Plain Edge

The ESP RK-01 Rescue Folding Knife combines a plain-edge AUS-8 stainless steel blade with an integrated rescue cutter and tungsten carbide glass breaker. The recessed cutter can be used on seat belts, clothing, and textile restraints. Its textured PA66 handle provides a secure grip and is suitable for both right- and left-handed users.

Three Tools in One Knife

The RK-01 was developed in response to requirements from security professionals. It combines the standard utility of a folding knife with a rescue cutter and glass breaker for emergency situations. The design is suitable for first responders, police officers, military personnel, and everyday carry.

Plain-Edge AUS-8 Blade

The plain-edge blade is made from AUS-8 stainless steel and protected by a matte titanium-gray PVD coating that increases resistance to wear and corrosion. A liner lock secures the blade in the open position and can be released with the thumb.

Integrated Rescue Cutter

The handle incorporates a multipurpose cutter designed for seat belts, clothing during emergency care, and ESP textile restraints. A shaped guide helps position the material against the cutting edge, while the recessed blade reduces the risk of accidental contact with the user or casualty.

Tungsten Carbide Glass Breaker

A glass breaker with a tungsten carbide tip is located at the end of the handle. According to the manufacturer, it is designed to break automotive side windows without requiring excessive force. The tip is not unnecessarily sharp, helping reduce the risk of accidental injury during routine handling and carry.

Textured PA66 Handle

The ergonomic handle is made from durable PA66 polyamide. Its fine surface texture promotes a secure grip and helps prevent the knife from slipping during use. The metal pocket clip is partially recessed into the handle to minimize protrusion, while an attachment loop allows the knife to be secured to gear or a key ring.

Dimensions and Weight

The knife measures 221 mm when open and weighs 164 g. The blade is 100 mm long overall, with an 89 mm cutting edge measured from the tip to the handle. Blade thickness is 3 mm, and the handle is 133 mm long.
