The Springfield Armory Echelon Full-Size Compact is a striker-fired 9mm pistol that combines a compact slide with a full-size grip module for an excellent balance of concealability, shootability, and magazine capacity. Designed for concealed carry, duty use, home defense, and regular training, it features a 4-inch barrel, a modular Central Operating Group (COG), and the Variable Interface System (VIS) for direct mounting of a wide range of pistol optics.

Full-Size Grip, Compact Slide

The Echelon Full-Size Compact pairs a compact-length slide and 4-inch barrel with a full-size grip module, offering the handling characteristics of a duty pistol while maintaining a more compact overall profile. Depending on the magazine used, capacity is 17 or 20 rounds.

Variable Interface System (VIS)

The patented Variable Interface System (VIS) allows direct mounting of numerous popular pistol red dot sights without adapter plates. This flexible optics-ready system simplifies installation while maintaining a low mounting height for an optimal sight picture.

Modular Central Operating Group

At the core of the pistol is the serialized Central Operating Group (COG), a self-contained fire control unit that enables grip module replacement without transferring internal components. This modular design allows users to configure the pistol to their preferred size and ergonomics while retaining the serialized operating system.

Sights and Controls

The pistol comes equipped with tritium U-Dot sights for rapid sight acquisition in low-light conditions. Fully ambidextrous controls, including the slide stop and magazine release, provide intuitive operation for both right- and left-handed shooters.
