The Discoveryopt cantilever scope mount is designed for riflescopes with a 30 mm main tube and interfaces with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. Its one-piece construction positions the optic farther forward to help establish the required eye relief. A fixed 20 MOA cant increases the usable elevation adjustment range for long-range shooting. The mount is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and protected by a hard-anodized finish.
The lower ring halves and cantilever base form a single unit. The forward offset allows the riflescope to be positioned ahead of the base attachment point, making it easier to establish proper eye relief on firearms with limited mounting rail space. The mount is designed for MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails.
The base incorporates a fixed 20 MOA cant that angles the riflescope relative to the mounting rail. This shifts more of the optic's usable elevation adjustment range toward longer-range corrections and is suitable for setups requiring greater elevation travel than a neutral 0 MOA mount provides.
The mount is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and protected by a hard-anodized finish for increased surface hardness and resistance to wear. Precision-machined ring interiors provide consistent contact with the riflescope tube. The manufacturer specifies coaxiality of ≤ 0.01 mm/m and resistance to shock loads of at least 1,000 G. The mount weighs approximately 156 g.
Each ring cap is secured by 4 screws, while 3 mounting screws attach the base to the rail. The specified torque values are marked directly on the mount: 20 in-lb / approximately 2.3 Nm for the ring-cap screws and 30 in-lb / approximately 3.4 Nm for the base mounting screws.
