The Ghosthood® Camo-Net LXR Multispectral Camouflage Net is designed to conceal equipment and positions not only from visual observation but also from advanced detection technologies. The LXR material reduces visibility across the visible, near-infrared, and thermal spectrums. As thermal imaging has become one of the most widely used detection methods in modern conflicts, this net helps lower thermal contrast against the surrounding environment, making detection by drones, surveillance systems, and thermal devices significantly more difficult. It is an effective solution for situations where conventional visual camouflage is no longer sufficient.
The thermal infrared (TIR) spectrum represents one of the primary detection threats in modern operational environments. Thermal imaging systems can easily detect differences in heat between personnel, equipment, and their surroundings, even in darkness or when visual camouflage is effective. The LXR material helps reduce these thermal contrasts, making detection via thermal imaging more challenging. Multispectral camouflage addresses limitations that standard camouflage nets cannot overcome.
This camouflage net reduces detectability across multiple spectral ranges simultaneously—visible light, near-infrared (used by night vision devices), and thermal infrared. By minimizing contrast between the covered object and its environment, it significantly complicates detection by both optical and infrared sensors.
The net features the conCAMO® pattern, designed to disrupt outlines and visually break up the shape of concealed objects. Its layered, non-uniform structure makes it more difficult for the human eye and observation devices to interpret shapes accurately. This enhances concealment effectiveness across varied terrain and environmental conditions.
The LXR designation indicates a more robust multispectral material engineered for demanding field use. Compared to ultra-lightweight variants, it offers increased durability while remaining breathable and packable. The construction minimizes snagging on vegetation and allows for efficient deployment and recovery.
The Camo-Net LXR can be used to conceal equipment, vehicles, or to establish improvised observation or hide positions. It can be suspended between trees, draped over structures, or used as overhead cover. The camouflage effect can be further enhanced by integrating natural vegetation from the surrounding environment.
