Loctite® 262 is the trusted choice for securing muzzle devices and threaded components. It delivers permanent thread locking, resists vibration and shock, and prevents loosening or leaks. Thanks to its anaerobic curing process, it hardens precisely where air cannot reach—between metal threads. In practice, this means brakes, suppressors, and adapters remain secure even under long-term stress.
Designed for strong, permanent fastening, Loctite® 262 fills the gaps between metal threads and cures once air is excluded. The result is a durable bond that withstands impact, vibration, and heavy loads without loosening.
Once cured, the connection is extremely difficult to disassemble—ideal for applications where permanence is required, such as mounting muzzle brakes or suppressors. Its thixotropic formulation ensures it stays exactly where applied without running or dripping.
Loctite® 262 is suitable for all metal threaded connections, from large bolts up to M36 to the finer threads of muzzle devices. It is not recommended for use on plastics.
The adhesive provides medium to high bond strength and operates reliably in temperatures from -55°C to +150°C. Handling strength is achieved in as little as 15 minutes on steel and up to 180 minutes on stainless steel. The red liquid is easy to apply, with viscosity that prevents unwanted dripping.
To ensure maximum performance, threads must be thoroughly cleaned prior to application. Using appropriate cleaners and residue removers prepares the surface for a strong and lasting bond.
Loctite® has long been an industry standard in defense and engineering. The 262 formulation combines strength, ease of use, and reliable performance—ideal for demanding applications where thread security cannot be compromised.
