There are differences between various types of powder. This also applies to gunpowder, which from approximately the 9th century BC, when it was invented in China, it has developed quite a bit. Currently, the original black gunpowder, which has negative side effects, is no longer used in firearms as a projectile charge.
When black gunpowder explodes, chemical substances with corrosive effects are created as by-products. This is also why the shooting sector welcomed Alfred Nobel's invention from 1877 in the form of smokeless powder. It is available in various forms, both chemical and shape. It is called dust more out of habit - it can often have a completely different form (for example, the form of sticks).
