CZUB® CZ DUTY 4.0 C Pistol / 9×19 mm

The CZ DUTY 4.0 C is a compact striker-fired pistol chambered in 9×19 mm. Its serialized modular chassis can be transferred between compatible grip modules, while the 4.0 C configuration combines a 4" barrel with a compact grip and 15-round magazine. Fully ambidextrous controls, trigger-free disassembly, and a direct-mount optics-ready interface support both duty and defensive use.

Serialized Modular Chassis

The functional core of the CZ DUTY is a removable serialized chassis containing the pistol’s primary fire-control components. It can be removed from the polymer grip module and installed in another compatible configuration.

Because the grip module is separate from the serialized chassis, the grip size and profile can be changed without replacing the pistol’s core serialized assembly.

Interchangeable Grip Modules

The CZ DUTY uses complete interchangeable grip modules rather than conventional replaceable backstraps. Small, medium, and large modules offer different palm-swell profiles and trigger reaches, allowing the pistol to be adapted more extensively to the shooter’s hand.

The fiberglass-reinforced polymer construction provides mechanical and thermal stability without adding unnecessary weight.

Compact Grip with a 4" Barrel

The 4.0 C configuration combines a 4" cold hammer-forged barrel with a compact grip sized for a flush-fitting 15-round magazine. Longer magazines and extended base pads are also available, including sleeved configurations that cover the exposed portion of a longer magazine when used with the compact grip.

A pronounced cutout at the bottom of the grip provides additional purchase on the magazine during forced removal, particularly when dirt, mud, or freezing conditions interfere with a normal reload.

Refined Striker-Fired Trigger

The patented striker-fired trigger system is designed to provide smooth travel, a clean break, and a short, tactile reset. This 4.0 C configuration does not include a manual safety.

Its mechanical safety system incorporates a trigger safety, firing pin block, and out-of-battery safety. The pistol can also be field-stripped without pulling the trigger.

Direct-Mount Optics-Ready Interface

The redesigned optics-ready interface uses interchangeable locating pins to adapt the slide to several common red dot footprints. Optics using the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Holosun K, and Leupold DeltaPoint Pro footprints can be mounted directly to the slide without an adapter plate.

Separate adapter plates are available for Aimpoint Acro, Colt Optics, and Holosun HE509T mounting interfaces.

Lower-Third Co-Witness Sights

Depending on the configuration, the CZ DUTY is supplied with luminescent or tritium three-dot sights. Their height is optimized for use with slide-mounted red dots and provides a lower-third co-witness through the optic window.

Fully Ambidextrous Controls

The slide release and magazine release are accessible from either side of the pistol without requiring component reversal. Extended front and rear cocking serrations provide a secure contact surface for different slide-manipulation techniques.

Textured grip surfaces and a serrated support-hand index area above the trigger guard contribute to consistent control without making the grip unnecessarily abrasive.

Ergonomics Developed with DiFEND

The grip geometry was developed using CZ’s DiFEND human-factors methodology. The design focuses on natural alignment in the hand, practical access to the controls, and accommodation of different hand sizes through the interchangeable grip modules.

Tested for Duty-Level Durability

CZ specifies a service life of 50,000 rounds with standard ammunition or 25,000 rounds with DM51 overpressure ammunition, including an initial 10,000-round period without parts replacement. Testing based on NATO STANAG AC/225 methodology included drops and exposure to water and debris.

The pistol uses a cold hammer-forged barrel and a nitrided finish on major metal components for corrosion and wear resistance.
