The Cold Steel Large Luzon folding knife is a unique piece designed by the president of Cold Steel, Lynn C. Thompson, along with Mike Wallace. The shape of the knife is inspired by Filipino balisongs from Thompson's personal collection.

The Large Luzon knife from Cold Steel, with its design of a classic folding knife, is suitable for areas where the carrying and use of balisongs is prohibited. The name of the knife is derived from the largest Philippine island, Luzon. 

Durable blade made of high-quality stainless steel

Cold Steel used high-quality stainless steel for the blade, exhibiting Rockwell hardness after heat treatment. The shape of the Luzon knife blade is designed for stabbing, but thanks to the concave and arched shape of the edge's bottom, it also cuts very well.

The handle of the unique Luzon piece is made of glass-filled nylon (GFN). It is extremely durable in extreme conditions and weather. Thanks to the material and shape of the handle, the grip is comfortable and secure in any situation and position. The bamboo shape inspired the handle design.

For safe handling, the Luzon is equipped with two safety locks. The first is the proven Linerlock, which secures the blade against unintended closure.
