The HB Industries Short Stroke Buffer for Grand Power Stribog Gen 2 replaces the factory buffer with a longer polyurethane unit that shortens bolt travel and softens the recoil impulse. Its one-piece construction helps absorb and distribute impact energy, improving cycling characteristics while reducing the chance of a spent case becoming trapped behind the bolt.
The Short Stroke Buffer is longer than the factory buffer, limiting rearward bolt travel during cycling. The shorter stroke reduces reciprocating movement inside the firearm and promotes faster cycling, helping maintain better control during rapid strings of fire.
Machined from highly durable polyurethane, the buffer is slightly more compliant than the factory component. It absorbs and distributes impact energy as the bolt reaches the end of its travel, resulting in a smoother recoil impulse and more consistent cycling.
By limiting rearward bolt travel, the Short Stroke Buffer reduces the space where a spent case can become trapped during abnormal cycling. This helps minimize malfunctions caused by a spent case lodging behind the bolt inside the receiver.
The buffer is molded as a single-piece component with no additional inserts or moving parts. It installs as a direct replacement for the factory buffer without adding complexity to the operating system.
The Short Stroke Buffer is designed for Grand Power Stribog Gen 2 firearms, including the straight-blowback SP9A1 and the roller-delayed SP9A3, as well as 10 mm Auto and .45 ACP variants. It is not compatible with first-generation 9 mm Stribog models that use dual recoil guide rods. The manufacturer recommends this buffer for semi-automatic firearms only and does not recommend its use with binary triggers or select-fire firearms.
