The LanTac® A3 Gen2 BMD® (Blast Mitigation Device) preserves the full performance of the Dragon® muzzle brake while channeling blast and concussion forward. Patented porting maintains recoil and muzzle-rise reduction, while shockwaves are directed away from the shooter and those nearby. The result: a stable sight picture and shooting comfort in close environments.
Unlike conventional blast shields, the BMD® allows the brake inside to function at full efficiency. Patented through-wall ports connect the brake’s top vents to the outside environment, preserving barrel-rise control and recoil management.
The second-generation design uses two threaded cloverleaf-shaped ports that disrupt gas flow and reduce vertical flash. The Dragon® brake inside continues to minimize recoil impulse, while visible signature is lowered.
The BMD®’s primary function is to project concussion and gases forward, away from the shooter and team members to the sides. Radial teeth at the front further diffuse gases, improving comfort and reducing disturbance.
Machined from 4140CMV steel and finished with a black QPQ nitride coating, the A3 Gen2 BMD® resists heat, wear, and corrosion. Built to endure sustained fire and harsh conditions without loss of performance.
The device locks to its adapter via a secure rotational interface. Each package includes an A2 adapter for the Dragon® DGN762B (7.62 / .308), timing shims, and high-temp thread locker. Proper adhesive use is required to ensure secure installation.
The A3 Gen2 BMD® is designed exclusively for the LanTac Dragon® DGN762B muzzle brake. It is not compatible with A1 adapters, AK47 variants, GemTech, or SilencerCo mounts.
