Benelli. That is all a shooter needs to hear when it comes to shotguns. The brand name has been synonymous with craftsmanship and the highest quality precision for many years. Shooters, who are held to high standards, whether in sports, hunting or protecting others, expect the tools they use to be of the highest possible quality. And the Benelli M4 T-Pro Brown 14" is just that. A robust, practical shotgun specifically designed to ensure shooter comfort and quick use.
The M4 model is a semi-automatic shotgun manufactured by the aforementioned legendary Italian firearm maker Benelli. The semi-automatic shotgun M4 T-Pro Brown 14" is the fourth and final model in the Benelli Super 90 series of semi-automatic shotguns. The M4 operates using a gas-operated system named ARGO (Auto Regulating Gas Operated system) by Benelli, which was specifically designed in 1998 for the semi-automatic shotgun M4.
On May 4, 1998, the U.S. Army's Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey issued a request for a new 12 ga semi-automatic shotgun for the U.S. armed forces. In response to this request, Benelli designed and presented the Benelli M4 Super 90 shotgun. After intensive military testing, the M4 shotgun won the competition. This semi-automatic shotgun is employed not only by the U.S. armed forces but also worldwide by law enforcement agencies in countries like Italy and the United Kingdom.
Testing of the military version of the M4 shotgun indicates a high level of reliability. The weapon operates flawlessly for a minimum of 25,000 rounds without the need to replace main parts due to wear. The steel parts of the weapon are black-phosphated and have a corrosion-resistant finish. The aluminum parts are anodized. All these design details ensure that the Benelli M4 T-Pro Brown 14" semi-automatic shotgun requires minimal maintenance and functions in all climatic and weather conditions.
Thanks to the telescopic stock specially developed for the M4 shotgun, the length of the weapon can be easily and quickly adjusted by simply pressing a button and adjusting the stock. The stock is made from fiberglass-reinforced technopolymer.
The weapon is further equipped with Benelli's innovative gas system, which is accurate, durable and reliable. Argo stands for the Auto Regulating Gas Operated system. The A.R.G.O. system is located under the barrel near the chamber and can utilize higher pressure and hot gases from shooting. A special regulating valve then releases excess pressure from shooting.
