Following the release of the service pistol Rex Zero 1, the Slovenian manufacturer Arex decided to introduce a sports model called Alpha. It is a semi-automatic pistol with a classic design featuring an all-metal frame and a forged barrel.
The firearm's trigger mechanism was finely tuned at the factory for each individual pistol. Thanks to the DA/SA trigger with a short reset, this weapon is ready for sport and performance right from production.
The forged barrel of the weapon is equipped with a 6-groove rifling profile with a twist rate of 1:10. Compared to the service model Arex Zero 1, the overall length of the weapon has been extended by 2 millimeters. Unlike the Arex Zero 1 model, the Alpha is not equipped with a firing pin safety or a decocker. This allows the adjustable, micrometric rear sight to be mounted lower.
Also noteworthy is the extended beavertail, which ensures a stable grip, and the expanded magazine well (magwell) that facilitates magazine insertion. The Alpha is equipped with an ambidextrous manual safety. The front sight is fiber optic, and the rear sight allows for individual adjustment according to the shooter's requirements.
