The Pixfra Mile 3 M625 is a compact thermal imaging monocular built around a 640 × 512 VOx detector with NETD sensitivity of ≤15 mK. Its fast 25 mm F0.9 lens provides a wide field of view for efficiently scanning terrain, while PIPS 3.0 Pro image processing and a Full HD OLED display support detailed observation in low-contrast conditions. At approximately 290 g without a battery, the M625 combines high-resolution thermal imaging with a pocket-sized magnesium-alloy body.
The uncooled VOx detector combines a 640 × 512 resolution with a 12 μm pixel pitch. Its low NETD value helps reveal subtle temperature differences in rain, fog, dense vegetation, and other conditions with limited natural thermal contrast.
A 50 Hz refresh rate maintains smooth image movement while scanning terrain or following moving animals and other heat sources.
The 25 mm F0.9 objective lens provides 1.2× native magnification and a field of view measuring 30.6 × 24.4 m at 100 m. This wide viewing angle makes it easier to search larger areas without frequently repositioning the monocular.
The manufacturer specifies a detection range of up to 1,300 m. Digital magnification can be increased progressively up to 8× when closer inspection of a selected area is required.
PIPS 3.0 Pro uses adaptive image processing to improve fine detail, reduce visible noise, and maintain a balanced thermal image at both native magnification and higher digital zoom settings.
Additional viewing tools include picture-in-picture, hot spot tracking, defective-pixel correction, and six selectable color palettes for adapting the image to the environment and observation task.
The integrated control wheel combines focus adjustment, digital zoom, and menu navigation. This allows the primary functions to be operated with one hand without repeatedly changing grip or searching for separate controls in the dark.
The thermal image is viewed through a 0.49" OLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 px. The large, high-resolution screen provides a clear viewing image and supports comfortable observation over extended periods.
The Mile 3 M625 can capture still images and record video with sound through its integrated microphone. Files are stored in the 64 GB internal memory and can also be reviewed directly on the monocular.
Built-in Wi-Fi allows the device to connect to the Pixfra Outdoor mobile app for live image viewing and media sharing with compatible smartphones.
The monocular operates on one replaceable rechargeable 18650 battery. Two batteries are included—one installed in the device and one spare—allowing the power source to be exchanged without interrupting field use for charging.
Each battery provides up to approximately five hours of operation under the manufacturer’s specified test conditions. The USB-C port also supports charging and operation from a compatible external power source.
The magnesium-alloy housing combines low weight with durability for regular field use. Anti-slip surface sections support a secure one-handed grip, while the compact profile makes the monocular easy to carry in a pocket or equipment pouch.
The IP67-rated construction protects the device against dust and temporary water immersion and supports operation in both freezing winter conditions and hot weather.
